นิทรรศการ informative to transformative นิทรรศการกลุ่มเพื่อเสาะหาถึงหมุดหมายของมนุษย์ท่ามกลางธรรมชาติในมนุษยสมัย(anthropocene) โดย ADRUNNOGNT: อานนท์ นงค์เยาว์ ร่วมกับ nguyen ngoc tu dung อธิษว์ ศรสงคราม ddmy studio และ โรจน์วิรุฬห์ วรรณแก้ว
เพื่อเป็นการตอบสนองต่อฤดูกาลแห่งฝุ่นควันที่เกิดขึ้นทุก ๆ ปีในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ผลงานของศิลปินทั้งสี่ท่านที่จัดแสดงในรูปแบบของนิทรรศการศิลปะจัดวาง ผู้ชมจะได้ร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการสำรวจภูมิทัศน์ด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่ได้หยิบเอาประเด็นสิ่งแวดล้อมอันมีผลมาจากการกระทำของมนุษย์ นิทรรศการประกอบไปด้วยผลงานภาพถ่ายของ อธิษว์ ศร-สงคราม ที่ได้ติดตั้งเอาไว้โดยรอบห้องนิทรรศการ นำเสนอความคลุมเครือระหว่างการใช้งานและความงามในวัตถุที่เวลาทำให้ไม่อาจระบุชนิดได้อีกต่อไปหากแต่คงไว้ซึ่งความน่าสนใจทางกายภาพ ผลงานของ ddmy studio นำเสนอศิลปะจัดวางที่เชื้อเชิญให้ผู้ชมเข้ามาร่วมสร้างและสะสมร่องรอยการเคยปรากฏเอาไว้ในระบบซึ่งทำงานสัมพันธ์กับพื้นที่ห้องจัดแสดง ศิลปินได้ทำการออกแบบระบบที่คอยบันทึกข้อมูลผู้คนที่เคยมีปฏิสัมพันธ์และแสดงผลผ่านจอประมวลผล ทำให้เกิดผลลัพธ์เป็นภาพกราฟฟิกซึ่งเปลี่ยนแปลงไปเรื่อย ๆ ตามจำนวนและตำแหน่งของผู้คนที่บันทึกไว้ โรจน์-วิรุฬห์ วรรณแก้ว ซึ่งได้ตีความสำนวนภาษาแบบไทยออกมาเป็นโครงสร้างศิลปะจัดวางซ้อนทับพื้นที่นิทรรศการเอาไว้อีกชั้นหนึ่ง และสุดท้ายคือผลงานศิลปะจัดวางจากการบันทึกเสียงในพื้นที่ (field recording) ของ อานนท์ นงค์เยาว์ ที่ทำร่วมกับ nguyen ngoc tu dung ลำโพงที่ติดตั้งอย่างสัมพันธ์กันจำนวน 16 ตัว เล่นเสียงที่ศิลปินบันทึกจากพื้นที่ต่างกัน 16 แห่ง จนเกิดเป็นพื้นที่ทางเสียงซึ่งเชื่อมโยงผลงานทุก ๆ ชิ้นเอาไว้ด้วยกัน การตอบสนองนี้เป็นสัญญาณกระเพื่อมแรกของสังคมไทยในวงกว้างที่มีต่อปัญหาฉับพลันทางสิ่งแวดล้อมโลก โดยศิลปินเริ่มจัดการกับปัญหาด้วยการตั้งคำถามต่อวาทกรรมทางสิ่งแวดล้อม และด้วยบทบาทของศิลปินที่เปิดโอกาสให้สามารถหันกลับมาตั้งคำถามต่อจริยธรรมของตัวเอง
จริงใจแกลเลอรี ภูมิใจเสนอนิทรรศการกลุ่ม จัดแสดงผลงานที่พูดถึงธรรมชาติด้วยพลังงานในแง่มุมที่ให้ธรรมชาติได้แสดงชีวิตและบทบาทอันยิ่งใหญ่ผ่านผลงานศิลปะ และเพื่อให้นิทรรศการนี้เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการนำเอาข้อมูลอันมากมายมหาศาลไปใช้ขับเคลื่อนสู่การเปลี่ยนแปลงวิธีของมนุษย์ และดำเนินไปสู่สมัยที่ธรรมชาติไม่ได้ถูกมองเป็นเพียงแค่ส่วนหนึ่งของทุนอีกต่อไป นิทรรศการ informative to transformative เปิดให้เข้าชมตั้งแต่วันที่ 2 เมษายน ถึง 3 กรกฎาคม 2565 ทุกวันอังคาร ถึง วันศุกร์ ตั้งแต่เวลา 10:00 น. – 18:00 น. และวันเสาร์ – อาทิตย์ ตั้งแต่เวลา 08:00 น. – 18:00 น. (หยุดทุกวันจันทร์) เข้าชมฟรีไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย โดยจะมีพิธีเปิดนิทรรศการในวันที่ 14 เมษายน 2565 ตั้งแต่เวลา 17:00 น. เป็นต้นไป ณ จริงใจแกลเลอรี ภายในโครงการจริงใจมาร์เก็ต ในเครือกลุ่มเซ็นทรัล

‘informative to transformative’ is a group exhibition with the purpose of seeking out the milestones of humanity during the anthropocene period by artist duo ADRUNNOGNT: Arnont Nongyao and Nguyen Ngoc Tu Dung), Atit Sornsongkram, ddmy studio, and Rodwiroon Wannakaew
Meant as a response to the recurring ‘smog season’ that plagues the Chiang Mai province every year, each of the four works from each artist(s) will take the form of installation art, inviting audiences to take part in exploring the artistic and cultural landscapes in the context of environmental phenomena that result from human actions. The pieces are bolstered by the photographic works of Atit Sornsongkram, which have been put on display throughout the exhibition space, detailing the ambiguity of using works and the beauty inherent in all the featured objects, rendered unidentifiable by the ravages of time, yet still captivating by virtue of their physical silhouettes. Meanwhile, ddmy studio presents an installation artwork that allows audiences to participate in creating and collecting evidence of our existences within a system that works in tandem with the exhibition space. The artists have designed a system that records the data of every individual who has interacted with it, displaying that data on a monitor screen. The result is an ever-changing graphical representation of that data based on the amount and locations of participants. Rodwiroon Wannakaew has interpreted common Thai idioms into an installation art that takes the form of a structural scaffolding that surrounds the entire exhibition space. This is accompanied by Arnont Nongyao and Nguyen Ngoc Tu Dung’s work, which takes the form of a field recording of the space’s audio. The artists have arranged 16 speakers in a circle, each playing the ambient sounds from 16 locations, creating a soundscape that ties all the works together. This response is the first signal that will send ripples throughout Thai society in regard to the immediate environmental perils facing the world, with each artist taking the first step towards addressing the issue by questioning the common rhetoric surrounding climate change, while also having the opportunity to reflect upon their own morality.
Jing Jai Gallery is proud to present this group exhibition, featuring works that address environmental issues by displaying the great importance of nature through art, allowing this exhibition to be the first step towards utilizing the vast amounts of data we have available in transforming the ways humans live in a time when nature is no longer a mere asset to corporate powers. The ‘informative to transformative’ exhibition will be available for viewing from April 2nd, 2022, till July 3rd, 2022, Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 - 18:00 hrs. (8:00 - 18:00 on weekends), close on Monday and free of charge. An opening ceremony for the exhibition will take place on the 14th of April at the Jing Jai Gallery starting from 17:00 hrs. (located in the Jing Jai Market by Central Group).
